WEB DESIGN & PACKAGING
WEB DESIGN & PACKAGING
Client Name – Zweave
Company Size – Mid Size
Business - PLM Software
Project type - Redesign Corporate site and develop packaging of software products

Objective
Zweave’s objective was to update its website and reposition the brand from a consulting firm to a software solutions company with a deep product offering. Establishing a clean, fashionable user experience that would position the company and its products as a premier on demand solution provider to the fashion industry was a key objective. The secondary objective was to simplify the colors, images and story line and integrate multi media flash into the home page to provide a short movie and demo. A cleaner, graphic white and grey look with color accents to emphasize the company’s extensive product line required packaging development. Packaging included ”Studios” and bundles. Packaging iconography was developed to look like boxes even though the software is delivered online. New stock photography was selected to emphasize teams, teamwork and a fashion user community. Toolboxes were introduced to communicate packaged service offerings visually. Library pages were updated to support downloads of the company’s collateral. Collateral was updated to support the site rebranding including fact sheets, pricing sheets, power point decks, headers and more. New pages were added to support online marketing through a webinar program and registration was updated to support whitepaper downloads, webinar registration, and an extensive demo schedule. Collaborative design sessions and reviews were done on site and online to meet a rapid deadline. The project was managed in great detail to work through design approval stages for each element of the redesign before finalizing the site in it entirety with the goal to limit changes and redesign. Strict project deadlines were enforced and the project was delivered in record time. The final deliverable included a site with over 80 pages, 22 packaging designs, and 30 pieces of collateral. The home page provides a short 1-minute preview of the impact movie offered within the site. The impact movie was designed and scripted by WYSYWG and implemented in flash.

We have been working with the WYSWYG team for over four years and entrust our branding and marketing to them. They get it! It is rare to find a creative agency that can work in any medium, execute on time and exceeds our design expectations. We have a good eye for design, but the WYSWYG team takes our vision and makes it real.

MARKETING & SOCIAL MEDIA
Client Name – Zweave
Company Size – Mid Size
Business - PLM Software
Project type – Marketing, Webinar Production and Marketing Campaign

Objective
Zweave was looking for a medium to increase site traffic while communicating their brand to the market. WYSWYG developed a webinar strategy that would educate the market with thought leadership, industry content not readily available to the public and top-notch guest speakers. To support the strategy a combination of steps needed to be put in place including the design of the webinar page on the website and the webinar registration form; the development of a webinar calendar and sessions topics and finally the email marketing and direct marketing campaigns to communicate the events. Our team also worked with the Zweave team to select a webinar tool and coordinate post webinar video editing and uploading of final videos to the site. Webinars are available on the site in a webinar library, which generates traffic daily. Registration to past webinars provides a constant flow of pipeline. Site registration provides an invaluable tool for sales to manage leads. The client was able to leverage their network of industry contacts to support a 12-session calendar with a range of topics. Segmented databases were developed leveraging Zweave’s existing database and opt in databases developed on the site through the development of a newsletter and subscription form. An extensive list was created and tested prior to the full launch. A direct mail database was also finalized to support the mailing of printed postcards pre-webinar session. The digital and direct mail strategies were executed simultaneously over the first three events to drive exposure and familiarize the industry with the events. Social networking sites such as LinkedIn and a Facebook fan page were used to support postings of the event details and drive additional traffic. A referral program was put in place as well as a gift card program to create customer loyalty and incentivize people to join. A thank you note followed each event with the gift card further building a bond with attendees. Even though gift cards were only offered one time, this strategy generated excellent repeat attendance and referrals. The digital campaign was delivered using constant contact, which WYSWYG managed. Each month as webinar details were finalized a custom digital postcard was developed to emphasize the educational content and its tie to Zweave’s products and services. The imagery, collected from the website images, created a cohesive branding story between the site and webinar series and has given the company greater brand visibility then in any preceding year their site was up. A production set up sheet was designed to use as a workbook with speakers and walk them through the steps and dates to deliver their webinar topic including dress rehearsals, deck reviews and pre-event tapings. Zweave’s Client Relations manager was trained to be the moderator of the events and coordinate the event’s monthly production. Both Zweave and its guest speakers leverage the WYSWYG team to finalize webinar slides and graphics for the production webinar deck for each session.

Zweave remains a retainer client of WYSWYG and outsources its webinar production and marketing to an assigned client manager. As a result Zweave was able to reduce its in house marketing staff and costs and deliver more marketing programs each month then when managed in house at a reduced cost. Results of this marketing initiative which is branded as “Zwebinar Series” included an increase in website traffic that continues to exceed the client’s expectation; search engine optimization ranking increases; a ten fold increase in registrations on the site which has doubled the company’s demo schedule. Prospective clients start with a review of the site, attend a webinar or download a whitepaper and are contacted by a member of Zweave’s sales or marketing team. By giving clients control over their experience and not forcing their hand Zweave has aligned it’s messaging with its mission: “What you need, when you need it, how you need it”.

As Vice President of Client Relations I am responsible for delivering pipeline. Since WYSWYG developed our webinar strategy and executed it for us we have had measurable gains in our brand awareness and site traffic. Zweave has become a respected source of industry information because we have invested in thought leadership versus traditional outbound marketing. Our pipeline is interested in hearing from my sales team and daily we receive strong leads that convert to business opportunities we might have missed before. Our outsourced relationship has allowed us to increase our marketing programs with minimal in house staff and we meet our deadlines even when we double our marketing efforts. WYSWYG delivers and we intend on developing new programs with them. They always have new ideas for us.

WEBSITE REDESIGN
Client Name – Marketing Pilot
Company Size – Mid Size
Business - Marketing Software
Project type - Redesign Corporate site and develop a micro-site for a new SaaS Offering

Objective
Marketing Pilot’s objective was to update the website’s aesthetics while rushing to meet a new product launch deadline. A micro-site to support this new product offering with ecommerce capabilities was required. Establishing a new corporate identity was the first and foremost objective. The secondary objective was to achieve a custom website feel in contrast to the templated site design which had been in place since the company’s launch. A clean, fresh simple brand message to match the founder’s graphic sensibility and search engine optimization strategy which required a site with heavy text and 100’s of pages were constraints given to our design team. White was selected as the primary color foundation to make the site readable and modern. To accent the whiteness effects were created to achieve metallic details including shadowing, gloss effects and etching. Icons were developed to punctuate sub sections and emphasize the products offered. A new image was introduced which accented the site with blue colors while communicating the company’s purpose: a compass to symbolize direction. In addition, the client wanted both the micro site and website unified in look, while at the same time allowing viewers to differentiate between the two sites and products. This was achieved by introducing a sub-navigation and a new logo that ties to the compass image in color and feel. The client was technical and had knowledge of maintaining site content, which required a different approach then typical sites as he wanted the website to be templated into page designs with multiple formatting options and resizable text boxes. This approach would enable him to be self-reliant and require limited custom design work in the future. By providing the client with a set of building blocks that allowed him to build, maintain and manage page design themselves we were able to meet his technical requirements as well as capture his design intent. The client, in Chicago was able to work with our engineers remotely using an online meeting tool to describe his requirements. This gave him the ability to communicate details more effectively. We also provided several online design sessions, which allowed us to show real time changes in layouts, fonts and logos. The final deliverable included a five page custom micro site, a logo, icons and multiple template page layouts for the main site. A new home page introduces you to Marketing pilot and leaves visitors with a clear and strong impression that marketing must be this company’s core competency.

Working with WYSWYG was a delightful process. From the start they brought many design ideas while at the same time understanding and respecting our design ideas and objectives. The end result was a stunning web site. Our web site was moderately large and complex...approximately 250 pages. The WYSWYG team helped us develop a great navigation system and templates to use to create a site that was elegant, consistent, easy to use and easy to maintain.

SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT
Client Name – Eatwhatyagot, Inc
Company Size – Start up
Business - Social Networking site
Project type - Develop software platform and user interface

Objective
EatWhatYaGot is a social networking site that help leverage ingredients in your fridge or pantry to cook at home. As a young start up with only private funding this project needed to be done within extreme budget constraints. Working with their team we created a custom designed website with a back office recipe management database and social networking platform. The site tools include recipe posting and customization, recipe distribution, profile management including tools to upload recipe photos and videos. The networking platform includes e-invitations to food events, menu planning, grocery planning and calendar sharing. The ingredient database allows advertisers, sponsors and affiliates to link ingredients to their brands and supports couponing, click throughs and targeting advertising within the recipe. A back office advertising tool supports custom size advertising for targeted pages. Ecommerce includes an online store with select seasonal products and EatWhatYaGot merchandise. A kids section supports games and kid friendly interactive content. An initial beta phase was conducted and additional requirements were developed. Today this site is up and active with thousands of members.

We needed a true partner to get our start up from concept to reality. WYSWYG’s team helped us do the inconceivable - build an actual application not a prototype and launch a site on time within our budget constraints.
